An innovative glass roof transitions dining from indoors to outdoors with a touch of button.
Working in collaboration with Cox Architecture and Tilt Industrial Design, Innovative Vision Statements helped create a new standard in rooftop dining as Beverly, on top of Goldfields House, South Yarra, takes dining inside, or outside, to a new level.
Located on the 24th floor of Goldfields House Beverly restaurant and bar, features an innovative 100sqm retractable glass roof that opens fully to seamlessly transform the enclosed air-conditioned space into an immersive open-air experience.
The retractable roof is the first of its kind in Australia and features a remote control system with wind and rain sensors to enhance functionality and provide optimal thermal comfort. The 100sqm of double glazed Low-E glass with a seraphic frit pattern opens by first lifting and then sliding back across the roof to maximise the alfresco experience.
The roofing system is complemented by glass curtain walls and high-performance proprietary glass sliding doors, manufactured and installed by Innovative Vision Statements, which achieve appropriate wind and water pressure compliance at this elevated location.
Beverly, with its extraordinary 270-degree views of Melbourne and innovative vision, sets a new benchmark in the built environment and opens the possibilities for flexible, high-performing spaces.
